180,000 holiday makers trying to rush home as Thomas Cook may go bust!


Travellers nearing the amount of 180,000 could be left stranded abroad if British tour operator Thomas Cook goes bust.

In result of if they do go bust the British government would be forced to launch the biggest peacetime repriation costing around £600 million to get British holiday goers back home.

With only a couple of days Thomas Cook are looking for a £200 million relief to avoid the collapse.

A source said of the 178-year old travel agent: “Around 20,000 staff worldwide will lose their jobs and it will have a knock on effect to travel agents worldwide as cruises will also be affected as they may also lose their licence.
